Pike blocks

I've now finished two Thirty Years War pike blocks. The Old Blue or Winckels regiment and the Yellow or "Hov"regiment. The Old Blue has one banner depicting a crowned silver lion. And another with " MIT GLYK ZIEHEN WIR DARAN UND ERLANGEN DEN SIC" written on it. And the Yellow regiment has one yellow banner with a white cross on it, and the black "liv" banner with the Swedish coat of arms on it.

Wanted a shot of the drummer with his plumed mounteere cap.

Napoleonics

As almost every other historical wargamer out there I also have some Napoleonics. I chose to focus on the british from the 100-days campaign. In hindsight I kind of regret that I chose to start with the brits, but if I start something I want to see it through.

The 10th Hussars or the Prince of Wales own Hussars. This is the first row, I've got another row coming but hussars take a lot of time to get done.

The 33rd Regiment of Foot split into two blocks.

At last the famous 95th Rifles with two officers dressed in some fancy dolman coat.

The Scanian War

I've now finally had some time to make bases for my miniatures. My basing work and my basing techniques aren't the best but they will have to do. First of are some Swedish troops from the Scanian War who partook in the Battle at Lund which was fought on December 4, 1676. I therefore chose to try to do some snowy bases. The miniatures are all from Warfare miniatures.

You will have to excuse the pictures, I don't own a good camera and am taking these photos with my phone.

The Dalecarlia regiment in blue and red, while the drummer and the NCOs are dressed in grey and red.

A general taking a message from another officer. I haven't decided who this general is supposed to be yet.

This is the Hälsinge regiment in grey and "sea"green, while the NCO in the background is dressed in grey but with brown facings. Also, they are wearing "Karpuses" instead of regular hats. I've made them myself with green-stuff. Not really pleased with them, but they will have to do.

This is the Lifeguard cavalry, dressed in buff-coats and a cuirass while the trumpeter is dressed in blu and yellow.

Most of the hat-equipped soldiers are wearing a fist of straw in their hat for recognition. They foot regiments are also equipped with one "liv" or life banner and one company banner. The white banner were often the life banner among the Swedish regiments and could vary in what it depicted.

Thirty Years War

Finally I got my thumb out, and I'm posting some of my minis. So far I'm just gonna post some random minis that I have finished so far with or without basing.

First up is a bannerbearer for my planned Swedish Green Brigade for my Lützen project. This Green Brigade will be a mix of scottish and german mercenaries. So far i've only done the bannerbearer. The Bannerbearers are always the most fun.

Another bannerbearer, this one clothed in the grey of the Kings Lifeguard company which was incorporated into the Yellow Regiment and which formed the Yellow Brigade at the battle at Lützen. He is bearing the "Livfana" of the Yellow Regiment.
A musketeer block from Winckels Regiment or the so called "Old Blue". As you can see the basing is only halfway. Basing always takes along time for me because it's so tedious and i'm not very good at it.

The last photos are of the Småland Horse. I have to paint two more of these which I have twelve of, before I can start basing them.

The miniatures are a mix of Perry, Warlord and Assult-Group miniatures
